Fuel Gas Air Blowing Using YoYoBlowing™ Technique

Air Blowing is now considered the best practice for cleaning Fuel Gas systems by Industry, with EPRI's recently developed guidlines on the use of air or nitrogen in compressed pneumatic blows. There is stil considerable danger in this type of pneumatic blowing, however the potential for thermal explosion has been eliminated in this technique.

NESBITT has developed innovative and proprietary techniques to accomplish these air blows with a minimum of external equipment, through the use of our YoYoBlowing™ technique, where the line itself works as the compressed air reservoir. We'll provide detailed support calculations, and we can rent you the specialized equipment such as BlowValves™ and Silencers to perform these blows yourselves. We'll develop comprehensive Service Procedures for both the blowing and the nitrogen purging technique needed to commission your Fuel Gas system with Natural Gas.

PulseBlow™ Exhaustive AIr or Steam Blowing

When your construction schedule is going to delay your blowing service, consider PulseBlow™ Exhaustive Steam or Air Blowing using a BlowValve™ as an alternative! With Air Blowing, you can clean the steam system far off the critical path, before many of the control and DCS systems are in place. With PulseBlowing™, you can often steam blow before synchronizing a Gas Turbine to the grid, or at a much lower boiler load than CLP™ steam blowing requires, allowing you more schedule flexibility. NESBITT has extensive PulseBlowing™ experience in all types of power systems, and can provide the comprehensive engineering package  and specialty rental equipment for you to self-perform this service!
Continuous Low Pressure™ CLP™ Steam Blowing

Our piping design packages are comprehensive and modeled in AutoCAD™ in 3D; deliverables include routing and dimensional information,  customized isometric and plan-view layout drawings, and a thorough Bill of Materials including all specialized parts and consummables. You can incorporate our 3D model into your NavisWorks™ or AutoPlant™ project file.

NESBITT can design specialized custom cleaning equipment for your particular needs, built in AutoCAD™ or Inventor™ in 3D, separated into sub-assemblies, with exploded sub assembly views and Bill of Materials.

HRSG and Power Boiler Chemical Cleaning

Most chemical cleanings of boilers/HRSGs fail to accomplish their intended purpose, to completely remove organic deposits and millscale or other deposits. Why? Most often contractors/vendors are in too big a hurry and pull the plug on the cleaning early, without having sufficient solvent strength, application temperature or enough contact time to fully dissolve and remove 100% of the deposits. The result is deposits left behind, with the potential for localized, more agressive corrosion in these areas.

NESBITT understands the detailed reasons for performing a chemical cleaning or degreasing. We'll not only design a detailed cleaning operation with proper flow rates, temperatures and contact time to be 100% effective, but we'll also oversee the cleaning in the field to assure the quality you expect. We can show you how you can perform this cleaning yourself and get better, more consistent results!

Clean It Yourself!

D. Nesbitt Associates have a world-wide reputation for technical and operational excellency and integrity. We can represent your organization on-site, to help make sure the service vendor chosen performs up to the standards you expect. We can help you clean systems
FullCycle™ Steam Blowing to Condensers

Steam blowing to the Condenser has been done in various forms or fashions for decades, with the alure of reduced noise levels and the potential for recycling Condensate. With the innovative and proprietary techinques developed by NESBITT, FullCycle™ Steam Blowing is now an effective solution to water supply and noise reduction!

NESBITT can show you how to perform a steam blow directly to the Condenser, with the ability to treat and evaluate returning Condensate prior to its reintroduction to the Condensate Pumps. We'll simultaneously show you how to steam flush the Condenser, minimizing your time to steam purity prior to first steam to the Steam Turbine. Again we'll provide comprehensive hydraulic calculations to prove the steam and recycled Condensate flow paths, thorough Service Procedures for the blowing operation, and detailed Piping and Support Design for temporary interconnection of the systems. NESBITT can rent you the specialized equipment, such as Desuperheaters, Bypass Actuated Valves and Control Systems, as well as Temporary Dump Spargers. We'll also work with you to provide the Condensate treatment system needed to recirculate and evaluate the returning Condensate for potential recycling!
